Community Medical Center’s certified diabetic education program, taught by a skilled healthcare team, covers what you need to know about managing your diabetes so you can live a healthier life.
The course covers a general review of what diabetes is as well as:
- healthy eating
- exercise
- blood sugar monitoring
- complications
- problem solving
- risk reduction
- medication
- gestational diabetes is covered as needed.
Participants are encouraged to bring a support person (at no additional charge) to this class. For those with special needs, we offer individual instruction as needed. The charge for this program is billed to your medical insurance company and is covered by many plans.
