The employees of Community Medical Center support numerous community events, organizations and activities through sponsorship, employee volunteerism and civic group membership.
Giving back to the community is a priority for the staff of CMC.
Here are a few activities held through the year:
February: Giving Valentines to co-workers, with funds going to purchase gas cards helping employee’s that need to travel out of town for family health issues. Random Acts of Kindness Week
March: “Empty Bowls” Soup Supper -Kids Backpack Program
March/April: Basket Auction, funds raised go to the Kids Summer Lunch Program /Falls City Ministerial Association. Earth Day 1Mile/5K Run-Walk.
April/October: National Drug Take Back Day. Drop off your leftover or expired medications at Community Medical Center. Secure drop-box inside main entrance.
May: Hospital Week, recognizing and honoring all the CMC Staff with special events during the week.
June: Water Aerobics classes runs through mid-August.
July: Jaycees Sand Volleyball League.
August: Cobblestone Fun Run 1Mile/5K & 10K. National Night Out 1st Tuesday in August.
September/October: Tailgate War’s, collecting food and household items to donate to the local food pantry.
October: Chamber “Spooks on Stone Street” Halloween Costume Contest and fun.
November: Turkey Trot 1Mile/5K Run-Walk
December: Christmas Bake sale and mitten/scarf tree; funds raised are donated to the SENCA Christmas program for a needy family to help celebrate Christmas.
Spring, fall and winter: American Red Cross Campus Blood Drive. Open to the public as well.
Annually: Car Seat Safety Inspections.
Recognizing outstanding service: CMC Employee of the Quarter and Employee of the Year.
